Rico Lascano
A graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Visual Community at the University of the Philippines, Rico Lascano’s artworks seek to capture the essence of Zen Buddhism inspired by nature. The audience then manifests appreciation by exhibiting feelings of calmness and contemplation.
Lascano’s artworks have been exhibited at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, The Metropolitan Museum of Manila, as well as in Singapore, Hong Kong,Vancouver, New York, and Berlin. His other artworks are also a part of the permanent collection of The Central Bank of the Philippines, The Met-ropolitan Museum of Manila, The Mind Museum, Bank of China, The Mastercard International Art Collection as well as in prestigious hotels and residential condominiums like The Shang-rila Hotels & Residences, Raf-fles Hotels, City of Dreams, Ascott, and Solaire Hotels and Casinos, to name a few.
His artworks are featured in books like The Best of World Art, The Philippines-Impressions on Continuity, Erehwon, Solaire:The Art & Design Collection and A Guide to Art Collecting among others.
The artist currently teaches at the University of the Philippines’ College of Fine Arts.
